Faceboy is a multitalented and upcoming artist from the dusty streets of Venda. Born in 1991-06-17 as Thembuluwo Marvin Ramanugu, he started his music career at 17 years old when he was in a church choir, before he became a rapper he was a poet and was also writing a poetry book which was titled Full Actions Crushes Enemies and that is where the name FACE came from. He then changed from writing poems to writing music and by then he was already a Hip Hop fan so he started rapping at church, from church choir to the streets rapping about life in general.
In the early days of 2011 he started working with a group named Framework, Framework then joined with Officials and then the group became Framework Officials(FWO) where he recorded songs like Unstoppable, Mifuro and more where he worked with the likes of SIG, Triple B, Neno, MC Cheezy, Matic, Slash, Floyd, Electro.
In 2014 Faceboy he met Vhusafheli Ramanugu in Johannesburg who is a Manager at Mulambo Media. They started working together in different projects where Faceboy was preparing to become a solo artist, he worked on his 1st Mixtape titled FACETAPE.
After a year Faceboy he Joined MosBee Records as a solo Artist and he worked on a project which also helped him grow his fan base as a solo artist. This project included songs like Vhalitsheni, Living like a bouncer, and Ndi na Inwi which is in online stores. While working with MosBee Records he produced PH’s first album and also Prifix’s first album which was nominated in TSHIMA Awards in more than 3 categories. This was an opening for Faceboy which has opened so many doors for him.
Faceboy then decided to leave the label and start his own movement (Sliq Musiq Entertainment) where it was only him and Romeo, after some time they invited Lil-F, Ph, Meskay, Yapie, and Troy. He has been an inspiration to most children and many more has seen Faceboy stamp his name in the Music industry particularly in Venda Music, making hits such as Guru Anthem, Ni Wanga, Ho Tagethiwa and more.
In 2016 29 November he released his second mixtape (FACETAPE 2.0) which had him nominated for TSHIMA Best Hip-Hop Artist of the year in 2017 with more than 5000 listeners in its first day of release, the tape includes the much respected tracks in Venda such as Inyathi, Adivhaho, Pain, Dza Muluma, How Do You Knw, Addiction, Music as well as more hits to choose from, this tape is the biggest trend in the streets of Venda and Gauteng at the moment. Faceboy has performed on big stage too many times in Limpopo such as Spar Music Festival Pre Party, Royal Gardens Pre Party as well as Colbert Mukwevho’s Annual Birthday Bash and more.
