The all-seeing eye: Cashless Society The official biography of the group as presented by their label Unreleased Records.
Black conscious personality, Pan-Africanist mentality, Jack of all trades, masters of one, HIP HOP the weapon of choice for battle, war, to teach, for peace and justice for all those oppressed and the rest who seem to be misinformed, mislead, or sleeping with the sheep while we cry wolf and freedom. We are the children of freedom fighters like Steven Biko, Chris Hani, Oliver Tambo, Nelson Mandela, Malcolm X, Marcus Garvey, The Black Panthers, and Franc Fanon just to name a few flipping original rap styles in universal vernac with influences ranging from Curtis Blow, KRS, Kool G Rap, P.E, N.W.A, EPMD, Nasty Nas to MF Doom and everything real in between, versatile. Cashless Society members hail from Southern Africa (Johannesburg's inner-city ghettos surrounded by the dusty township slums A.K.A "J- section", and Gabs city in the "bling bling" country of Botswana. There are six members, all have experienced life inside and outside Africa, most grew up outside in the U.S., Canada and Germany living and breathing the lower life (at the bottom of the pyramid), that is part of the culture elements MCing, DJing, B-Boying, and Graf. The big picture is bigger than Hip-hop, and we are neck deep in the struggle. D. Balsher a.k.a Draztik (CEO for Ur Records / Producer / Artist), also a member of Organic Interface spent most of his life in Sacramento, CA and is now based in Gabs city is 28 years of age. K. Ngcakani a.k.a X-Amount a.k.a Boycott (CEO for Ur Records / Producer / Artist), also a member of Gun of a Nation (Isizwe se zi bhamu), and a solo artist spent all his life in exile, his first eight years in Nairobi, Kenya and sixteen years in Canada (T.O. Mega city), now based in J-section's inner-city at 26 years of age. J. Kai Lewis a.k.a Black Intellect a.k.a AK 47 communist for real (PR for Ur Records / Artist / Dub-Poet), born in Sierra Leorne, grew up in the U.S. (Baltimore, Oakland and Maryland), now based in J-section's inner city is 27 years of age. S. Mosidinyane a.k.a Slim (Financial Advisor for Ur Records / Artist), also a member of Organic Interface, was born and raised in New York city, is now based in Gabs city at the age of 29. J. Duplessis a.k.a Snazz tha Dictator a.k.a TIME (Promotions for Ur Records / Producer / Artist), also a member of AudioVisual, Gun of a Nation, and is a solo artist, was born in Cape Town, spent some time in Germany, is now based in J-section's inner-city rated as the No # 1 MC in this hemisphere at the age of 24. Isaac Selolwane a.k.a IQ 156 to be exact (A & R for Ur Records / DJ / Artist), grew up in the Queens section of New York city, now based in Gabs city & J-section at the age of 26. Cashless Society released a single called "Blaze tha Breaks" under the FondleEm label owned by Bobbito a.k.a Dj Cucumber Slice in 2000 distributed by Fat Beats (2600 units sold). At the same time released an underground mixtape locally, which sold about 500 units. Cashless Society so far has shared the stage with the like Bobbito, Mr. Len (Company Flow), Jean Gray, Dead Prez, Headrush, Tony Blackman, and Jonzi D (UK).
